On May 27th at the University of Bedfordshire, we had a fantastic turnout to our Deaf Day and AGM. Over 80 people came to enjoy the 10+ stalls, to find out the latest information and to meet friends and catch up on the latest news.
It was lovely to see so many people chatting, finding out about the latest services, meeting friends and new members to the D/deaf community. Our age range spanned from toddlers to our Young at Heart members – showing a united and vibrant D/eaf community. Check out our photos below or on Facebook

Paula Page and the University of Bedfordshire who kindly donated the space for our Deaf Day and AGM.
Val, Gilly, Joanne, Will, Sam and Rudy who were volunteers on the day, helping the committee to set up, welcoming people as they arrived, taking photos and to run such a successful event.
Our amazing stall holders who came out on a Bank Holiday weekend from; Access Bedford, BookOne, BSL Online, Cineworld, DeafConnect, Deaf Photography, POhWER, Healthwatch Bedford Borough, Maira’s Party Design London, Rogan’s Books, SignVideo and the Stroke Association, with leaflets and information from Signclusion, The Signing Company and NDCS.
To the 80+ people who came out on such a lovely sunny day, when the FA cup was on to support the D/deaf community and our event. THANK YOU!
