Access Bedford’s aim is to work with the D/deaf and hard of hearing community to make Bedford Borough more accessible.

We do this through projects, events and by creating more opportunities for D/deaf to meet with decision makers and influence services.

  1. Thank you for all that you do ‘Access Bedford’. You help those who often feel isolated and unable to communicate and for us in policing that can mean a victim who is even more traumatised and scared than they might otherwise be. You do fabulous work.

  3. Hello,
Help! My daughter has vi & hi impairment
And Down’s syndrome. She’s 16. I’m looking for written documents to support her educational plan which is on Monday 9th July. The school won’t give her a trained BSL signer -which i feel she needs to learn sentences. They will only give her a person trained in makaton which my daughters beyond and this will impair her learning. Please help if you can.
